The previous paintings I did as studies for watercolor paintings because once again I'm out of paper!! LOL. So, to keep my brain painting and trying not to lose down time I downloaded a digital art program designed by a company called Corel they are always pushing the envelope of digital art and its looks and reacts as close to traditional media that I have ever seen. The watercolor brushes actaully react to the paper as the "real brushes" they are simulating. The company offers free trials and you get to use it for 30 days with no cost at all. They are hoping that by sampling it you will want to purchase the program there website is
here just click the free trials button then look for the program called Painter 11 in the bottom left corner of the page under the heading Illustration and Design.
You are then asked for your e-mail address and from there follow the steps to get the free download I did this years ago with Dial up and it took 15 hours to download. This time it went so fast because we are on medium hi-speed internet I think it took 10 minutes.
The program offers Digital watercolor,Watercolor, inks, pencil, oils, acrylics etc.... and each one does look and act differently watercolors do look like watercolors oils look like oils pretty amazing stuff now I will always paint using traditional methods something about using a brush and the feel of paper when you throw it about, the water moving across the page just the feeling I get is not something I can explain. I love the idea of someone at these manufacturing paint companies or paper companies working there craft to the best of there abilities creating a great piece of paper and then handing it over to me to create something hopefully that others will get to enjoy.
But, for now being out of paper, how does that happen? oh, thats right, I did not order any! so this is a good way to do studies and try out different stuff with out wasting paper and paint. Not that I have any paper to waste. How does that Happen? oh, that's right, I did not order any!
So that being what it is. here are a couple of DIGITAL WATERCOLOR paintings.
All painted using a wireless mouse.
